This is the site where we arrive at on April 24 with our Kiwi tour party.
We visited the site at the start of our tour of Turkey and watched the Turkish officials setting up this place to accommodate the 10000 people who will attend this once in a lifetime ceremony. Anzac Cove is much smaller than I originally imagined. There are many grave sites scattered up and down the narrow coastline. Each site is beautifully maintained and this is a credit to the people of Turkey who are also extremely friendly to us Kiwis. It's amazing to think that so many lives were lost and that so many soldiers who died were never found and lie unforgotten in the hills around this special place. This place is a must for all New Zealanders and I feel extremely honoured to not only represent my Grandfather Andrew James Willocks but all Anzac men who fought so bravely in a battle that was poorly planned and a failure before they even landed

Hope some of you can watch the TV live coverage on ANZAC Day remembering that over here in Turkey we are nine hours behind NZ time. If not why not attend the RSA service at the Temuka Domain. Least We Forget.
